As an ordained pastor and Director of Pastoral Care at Discovery Church, part of my responsibility is officiating marriages. That event is always a glorious occasion for me because I am privileged to be part of a Christian ceremony that is founded on Biblical principles and brings honor and glory to God. A marriage built on this foundation –honesty, courage, integrity, faith, faithfulness, perseverance, tolerance, acceptance, respect and love – is a marriage most likely to experience the true meaning of joy.
I know how important this event is to you and how much you have planned for this special day. My intent is to customize a wedding event that fulfills your dreams and fits your budget. While Discovery Church (or another affiliate church) is available for your ceremony, the location of your wedding is your choice. It can be indoors at a church, a banquet hall, the Jewell Box, the Conservatory etc.; outdoors at a park, in a gazebo, by a river or lake, or at a winery. If you need additional assistance with the inherent logistical issues that are part of planning a wedding, I work closely with Barefoot Elegant Weddings and they are prepared to consult with you concerning caterers, florists, photographers, decorations, etc.
Should you want live music, I can provide the very best solo instrument of your choice, small ensembles (string quartets, wind quintets), jazz trios, quartets or full swing-bands OR a twenty piece brass ensemble making this an event fit for royalty!
The “basic” fee for officiating a wedding includes a one hour meeting with the bride and groom to-be; the rehearsal and the wedding itself. If travel outside the St. Charles area is requested (E. of 270; S of 40/64 or W of Lake St. Louis Blvd.), mileage will be billed separately. All other offerings are additional, but are intended not to be cost prohibitive. As stated earlier, my (our) intent is to bring your dream-event to life at a price you can afford.
